Chile

Chile is beautiful place, it is filled with hundreds of natural landmarks form volcanoes to cliffs to hillside gardens. Not only is Chile filled with landmarks but is also filled with amazing architecture when you get there you should immediately go to the La Sebastiana. The architecture of the house is truly just amazing.

Chile's seasonal weather patterns are also incredibly different than what we have here. When I was able to go to the Parque Nacional Villarria the weather was so nice, it felt like summer in the middle of winter. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the Cerro San Cristobal. The hike up Cerro San Crisotbal was very nice, and when you reach the peak of the hill you can see all over the city.

As you can tell Chile is a truly amazing place from the architecutre of the city to the mountains and hillls there. I hope I have persuaded you to see the beauty in this country and to make you go there some time as well.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to take a trip to Argentina with a group of my good friends. We did so many fun activities, tried different foods at different restaurants, and met some pretty interesting people. The first day we were there, we hiked up to Iguazu Falls. I've never seen waterfalls so big in my life! The water at the bottom was a crystal clear, and the waterfall itself looked pure white. Not only were the waterfalls outstanding, but the weather was perfect! It wasn't too hot and not too cold. We were able to wear summer cloths and not be cold. It felt like a perfect spring day. Iguazu Falls was absolutely wonderful and I would go back in a second if I ever get the chance again.

The second day we were there, we tried as many different restaurants as we could. We came across some really good ones and some we question how they're even restaurants, but the one we liked the most was La Cabrera. The people there were really friendly, and our waiter in-particular was outgoing and able to keep us laughing and able to enjoy the restaurant more than we already did. The food was perfect. I have never tasted something cooked to perfection the way they did it. I ordered steak. It looked like the steak you'd see on the commercial and tasted even better! After eating at La Cabrera I don't think I can ever go back to store bought steak.

The last day we were there, we went to Salta Tram (Teleferico)  Basically, you sit in a cable car that takes you too the top of San Bernardo Hill where you can see the entire view of Lerma Valley. I was nervous at first, because I hadn't ever been that high in the air before, but once I was up, it wasn't bad at all. The view was amazing. Everything looked so small and it made us seem like giants. I'm so thankful I got to experience everything I did while I was in Argentina. I never new Argentina had so many different things to do and such interesting people. I'd definitely take time to go back if I could!

This week I took a wonderful trip to Bolivia! It was amazing. We went three places. First, we went to La Paz, the administrative capital. I went to a museum called Museo de Historia Natural. I learned all about the natural zoology and geography. Then I went to Carnaval where I saw an event called the Devil's Dance. It was so much fun to be in such a historical place.

Then I traveled to see Santa Cruz de la Sierra. I took a boat trip to the Amazon region. It was lush and green and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Then I ate lunch in the main square near the cathedral. As I enjoyed my sandwich as I watched sloths in the trees. They were so slow and elegant. Some even had moss growing in their fur! After I enjoyed my lunch I climbed to the top of the cathedral's bell tower. It was beautiful and there was a wonderful view.

On my last day I went to Copacabana. Early morning I climbed to Horca del Inca, where there are some very cool rocks.I went to Cerro Calviaro, a climb at sunset up a hill that looks over the beach. There I had a picnic of the local food. I brought quinoa, saltenas, and locro. For the last thing of the day I went swimming in the lake! It was warm and relaxing for my last day in Bolivia. I wish I could go back sooner.

I WENT TO PERU :)

In my trip to Peru, I went to see the sights, try the food, and learn the culture.

First,I went to Machu Picchu,in the middle of the Andes. It is quite a hike up here but it is so worth it! I saw where the Inca lived,  the engineering is stunning. Then we walked down the mountain and to our hotel. We ate in the grand dining room, we ate Ceviche and Juane de Gallina. Delicious! After that my tourist group went to an airstrip, and flew to Lima.
Llamas at Machu Picchu

Lima is a stunning city. Bustling with fashion forward Peruvians and tourists alike, trying to get the luxury restaurants, shops, and entertainment centers. We went straight to the Cathedral to look at the amazing architecture. But Lima has some secrets, we followed our guide down a trap door into the catacombs of the city. CRAZY!!! We strolled through and left sort of creeped out.

We drove in our bus for about a day to the Bay of Paracas.
We sun tanned and swam. We looked at the cliffs,sand-art,crystal blue water, and wind surfers. It was a perfect end to our tr

I recently visited Chile this previous weekend and I had a blast. We did so many activities and visited so many new places. I never knew that there would be so much to do. The first day I went the mountain of Ojos del Salado Volcano. I went mountain climbing up the side. It was such a thrill to be dangling from the rope and looking down to see how far down the ground is. It was all worth it in the end though. When you get to the top and look out into the sky and see the stretching land that never ended. It was just bright shades of green and different colored plants. It was the prettiest sight I had ever seen.

http://esperanzafuelsgenerations.blogspot.com/2011/11/argentina.html
At least at a time, I thought it was. Then I went paragliding. I went paragliding in Pucon Went went over a ton of buildings. We went over a gorgeous river that looked like diamonds were scattered around in it because of the way the sun reflected off of it and shone into my eyes. We were up in the air for about twenty or thirty minutes, and during that time I felt like I was on top of the world. I was above everyone, away from everything, and it was quiet enough to hear my own thoughts. I never thought I would find a place that i could find so peaceful. I never wanted it to end.
www.fotomusican.net
The last thing I did caused me the biggest rush I could ever imagine. I was zooming through trees at 50 kilometers per hour. I felt like I was flying. The only difference was that I was attached to harness zooming down on a line. I was canopying at Cojon del Maipo. It was amazing going over the Maipo River. It was an amazing blue with tints of green. The trees were all just perfectly grown, completely green. It was abosultely magnificent. I will definitely be going back to Chile soon, and I hope that I will be able to see more beautiful places and try new activities. This is an experience I will never forget.

!I WENT TO PERU!

I went to Peru with my family over the summer.  The cool thing is that I met my friend there and so his family and my family explored the wonderful place Peru.  It was amazing, there were so many things there and some of the places we went to were the Colca Canyon, Arequipa, and Trujillo.

We spent our night and a couple of our days at the city of Trujillo.  We stayed in a hotel in the city and it was pretty nice or I guess you could say a place that is nice to sleep in.  In the city there was the worlds largest pre-hispanic mud brick citadel. It was crazy packed, people bumping into you and it was like black friday in Peru (ok maybe not that crazy) but it was crazy.  We looked at the attraction and got out of there.  The ride to the hotel wasn't any better, traffic everywhere and it just wasn't as calm as the U.S. and we have crazy drivers everywhere.  We survived and we got in the hotel, cleaned up, and then went to a fancy place to eat.

The next day we went to the Colca Canyon, it is bigger than the Grand Canyon in the U.S.  It was really dry but is was really cool to see.  I would like to see someone walk across that on a tight rope.  We ran out of water and so we were in a bad situation.  It is hot outside and we have no water, so we had to go all the way back to our hotel but we got to go see the Arequipa volcano and it made the day a lot better.

That is what I did in Peru with my family and friends.  It had its ups and downs but overall it was a really great trip and I have a picture of my friend when we had this kind of food for the first time (it was reeeaaalllyy good).

Ecuador-Braeden M.

Have you ever been to Ecuador? Probably not, but you would be surprised by all the fun things you can do there. I spent only three days there, and there was still so much I did. I spent my whole first day at the Galapagos Islands, my second day at the Inca Ruins of Ingapirca, and my last day at the old town. I also got to see some pretty cool things there like:
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ecuador/things-to-do/top-things-to-do-in-ecuador

I spent my first on the Galapagos Islands.  the Galapagos islands were so much fun. I went to the Galapagos beach. It was so beautiful and the water was so pretty. We then went to dinner at La Choza de Don Wilson.  we had a fillet trout and some other great stuff. The next morning we woke up early to spent the day touring Inca Ruins of Ingapirca.  we saw some really cool stuff. we headed back to the hotel to get good rest for our last day.  In our last day we walked around the Old Town. We saw lots of different things there like the Plaza and the Monastery Of San Francisco. we then went to Cafe del Treato. We had steak ribs and other comfort foods.

In Ecuador you can do lots of things. I didn't think I would have much fun, but I did more things than I could ever imagine. The land in Ecuador is beautiful especially the Galapagos Islands. There are also some great places to eat. You should go visit Ecuador someday too.

Miller C.'s Wonderful Trip to Ecuador

On my 5 day trip to Ecuador:

The First day I flew from ID to the Galapagos Islands:

The next 3 days I camped in the Amazon Rainforest:

I saw lots of animals like the one in the pictures above.

The last day I chilled at El pelado beach:

I met this guy at the beach named Juan.  He really liked it when we went cliff diving and almost brock our backs on this cliff.

I went to Chile and it was really nice. We saw a really big volcano. It was pretty cold it was like 48 degrees f we went to our hotel and it was amazing. it was really big and we had a really nice view of the ocean we spent most of the day in our room we tried watching TV but their were not a lot  of channels in English i tried watching the news but it was hard to understand.

The next day we went to the beach and the water was crystal clear i wanted to go in the water but it was kind of cold but the sun was out and warmed us up so i went into the water. after we left we went back to the hotel and got changed and my dad and i rented o boat and saw all kind of fish. The beast stuff i did in Argentina- Brad Chrysler

Yo. I am a hardcore Soccer Player. We enjoy playin against the big boys from LA. We are at the National World Series Championship Competition for Big Boys only. It is also known as the BIG NWSCCBBO. I support breast cancer awareness, and also work at the library from 10-12 on Mondays. My pet Gecko Steve died last Wednesday. :(. I shall be telling you none BIG NWSCCBBO ballers about the stuff we did on our little 5 weeks before we balled it up at the BIG NWSCCBBO.

First we went with the boys from the big city to Patagonia. We saw how peaceful it was. We disturbed the peace when Timmy let lose a big one. They had some mean llama jerky in the gift shop. We had a great time but we only got to stay for 4 and a half days so we couldn't hike up the 1 mile long trek through the face of the mountains they have there.

The next place we went to was the big city. We call it the big city but it is actually called Buenos Aires. They had some fun places to chill. They had some sweet arcades. after we hit the arcades we left the main part of the city and went spearfishing. While we were fishing Timmy pulled out a cheesy gordita crunch from the local taco bell. Apparently barracudas like taco bell, Cause poor Timmy isn't with us any more.:( WE MISS YOU TIMOTHY!!!! :( Well, back to our big trip.

Our next stop was the local Walmart. We loaded up on the nacho cheese Doritos. WE also got some Fritos! Us ballers from the big city like our Fritos a lot! Then we hopped in our private airplane that we stole form the local authorities, and flew to china! jk we just walked around the taco store and made some custom made tacos that should be delivered next Friday. Then we went to Litoral. They had some beast waterfalls. We Went cliff jumping into the waterfalls. WE had a excellenta time! That was pretty much al of the crap we did on the big trip. Other than get 54th place in the NWSCCBBO. The stupid soccer boys from LA got freaking first place! I hate Los Angeles!!!!!!!!!!!!

The litoral falls. Timmy did not die here.

Yo, I am a hardcore soccer baller here in Argentina. I am here to play in the National world Series Championship Competition for Big Boys Only, also known as the NWSCCBBO. While I was here in Argentina I visited a few places.

With my soccer buddies we went to Buenos Aires. We had a good time. We went kitesurfing out on the waters of Buenos Aires. I got my Kite and my surfboard out on the water. When it was my turn I fell straight onto my face. Then I went to the ER cause I got a bloody nose.

The next place we went was Patagonia. We went camping in the mountains and got attacked by a large group of bears. They stole our Twinkies and our sleeping bags. We slept out on the dirt. So, Patagonia was pretty miserable.

Then we went to Litoral. We went to many festivals, carnivals, and fiestas. We went to the Muchos Grande Taco Festival. We had a lot tacos and we felt a little sick. We had a taco eating competition and the Guarani Tribe showed up and stole our tacos. So then we went to the Burrito Fiesta in downtown Litoral. People were eating burritos. My soccer buddy Timmy ate a lot of burritos and felt a little gassy. It was stinky that night in the hotel.

That was my few weeks in Argentina!
